I am thrilled as always to be able to perform the newest works of my mother and fantastic composer Susan Kander. And it’s especially fun to travel to our ancestral home town of Kansas City to perform it. This January a new commission for voice, violin, and percussion setting the powerful poetry of KC native Michelle Boisseau. The evening’s main event is the Kansas City premiere of Kander’s recent hit opera, DWB - Driving While Black.
